- For those who visit several countries
When visiting several countries/areas, above calling rate is applied when making calls in one selected country/area. Select the prioritized country when filling in the application form.
- Use of G-Call mobile phone outside the countries/areas which special calling rates are applied to, both outgoing and incoming calls cost 290yen/min.
Exceptions:
Use of handsets for Australia in New Zealand costs 490yen/min.
Use of handsets for Germany/France in other countries/areas costs 490yen/min.
Use of handsets for Italy in other countries/areas costs 890yen/min.
- Cell phone number will be that of the prioritized country/area.
- Reduce cost by prioritizing a country/area in which you expect to place calls most frequently.
- Calling from the visiting country to a place other than Japan will cost 290yen/min or double the actual cost (if the actual cost exceeds 290yen/min).
- Cancellation charge (2,100yen) and delivery charge (1,050yen) will be charged, if you cancel the rental service after the mobile kit is sent out.
- Delay of returning rental kits will cost you 2,100yen per day if without proper notification.
- Loss or damage of rental kits will cost you the actual expenses for recovery. Please read the "terms and conditions" handed to you with rental kits.
G-Call does not provide Safety Plan for rental service like other rental cell phone companies.
- Most credit card companies already cover rented products. Please confirm if your credit card provides such automatic coverage for overseas accident insurance which includes compensation for damage.
=> If so, your damaged/lost/stolen handset will be covered.
- G-Call has a business tie-up with Sonpo Japan that has been offering insurance policy named "New Overseas Travel Insurance off!". If you sign up for this insurance and the option for special policy
of compensation for damage, your damages on the handset will be covered.
Minimum Calling Rate
'Minimum Calling Charge' is a standard expense for G-Call customers traveling in 19 countries and areas.
3,000yen per 30 days (tax exempted) .
An excessive amount should be normally paid by the month of the customer returns to Japan.
A call through G-Call's US rental mobile to Japan costs 130yen/min. and domestic/incoming call costs 50yen/min.
Therefore, the minimum charge of JPY3,000 is equivalent to;
- either a domestic call for 60 min. or an international call for 23 min.
- a domestic call for 30 min. and an international call for 11 min.
- a domestic call for 10 min. and an international call for 19 min.
On the other hand, G-phone, A call through G-Phone's US rental mobile costs JPY280/min. no matter where you place a call.
Therefore, the minimum charge of JPY3,000 would be equivalent to;
- either a domestic call for 10 min. or an international call for 10 min.
- a domestic call for 5 min. and an international call for 5 min.
- a domestic call for 1 min. and an international call for 9 min.
